This cabin is a vision of what I might have had—a rundown, very old cabin.
I wanted to include some animals, so buffalo came to mind. I would have loved to have buffalo on my property.
I love the river flowing close to the cabin, the smoke coming from the cozy cabin and the Rockies in the background. It makes me feel like I am there.
These are aspen trees. When hiking in the mountains, I see thousands of these. They deserve recognition.
I painted this a few years ago for Easter Sunday.
This painting came to mind when a dear friend of our family suddenly passed away. I hope it captured the loss with its sunset and two empty chairs. It is intended to be soothing and to express that everything will be alright.
